About Downend Garage

Downend Garage has been part of Lostwithiel's motoring history for generations.

The site on Grenville Road has been serving motorists since the mid-20th century, originally operating as a traditional roadside garage and café for travellers passing through Cornwall. For many years it was also a familiar fuel stop, becoming a well-known landmark for locals and visitors alike.

In 2014, Downend Garage began its next chapter, evolving into the modern, independent garage it is today. While petrol pumps are now a thing of the past, the focus has remained the same: keeping local people safely and reliably on the road.

Today, Downend Garage combines traditional values with modern vehicle technology. Our experienced team works on all makes and models, offering servicing, repairs, diagnostics and MOT work, using up-to-date equipment while maintaining the honest, personal service the garage has always been known for.
